Mr. Nathan Scott
Bethany Road Bible Church

Our director, Nathan Scott, has been working in ministry roles since 1992. A 1998 graduate of Moody Bible Institute, he served 8 ½ years in the housing projects of Chicago, working with at-risk children and teens. In the process of that work, he built lifelong friendships that remain strong today.

Prior to joining the staff at Love In the Name of Christ DeKalb/Sycamore, Nathan served as a drug and alcohol recovery counselor at a homeless shelter.  He has pastored in two area churches.

A native of DeKalb, Nathan counts it a blessing to return home in ministry and to mobilize the local churches to meet the needs of those in the community.  He finds joy in coordinating and providing genuine service opportunities for the local body of Christians.

The Love INC Model

Without Love INC Coordinating Services

When care is not coordinated, needs can be overlooked or duplicated, and people are not served in a holistic manner.

With Love INC Coordinating Services

Love INC fosters collaboration and organizes holistic care to help churches serve their neighbors through resources and relationships.

Our Statement of Faith

Love INC is a partnership of diverse local churches, so rather than focus on theological or doctrinal differences, we focus our shared belief in Christ as our savior, and use the Apostles’ Creed as our unifying statement of faith.

Statement on Scripture

Love In the Name of Christ identifies only the Old Testament* and the New Testament, commonly known as the Bible, as Holy Scripture. Love INC acknowledges, as do Christian churches of all traditions, that the canon is closed, thereby excluding any additional writings from the past or present.

*Love INC recognizes that the Old Testament canon is defined differently among Protestants, Catholics, and Orthodox. Nevertheless, all three traditions hold that Scripture consists of the Old and New Testaments, and the canon is closed.
